Improving battery life on Cyclo Discover

Charging the device

Our devices use Lithium-ion batteries which can be charged at any time, you don't have to wait until the battery is flat. We recommended to completely discharge lithium-ion batteries after about 30 charges, and then recharge. Do not leave the battery discharged for long periods of time as it may cause damage. Furthermore, please keep the device at room temperature when not in use. The outdoor temperature influences the battery life - low temperatures can have a 50% impact on the battery's lifetime.

Very Important: The Micro USB connection cable to charge your device is included in the box. For best performance please use the original charger cable, which can either be used to charge with the AC mains adaptor or via your PC. We can't guarantee compatibility with any third-party Micro USB cables.


Improving battery life


Certain settings on the Cyclo device significantly influence the battery life. To increase the battery life you can change the following settings:

From the Main menu > Settings > System > Screen:

  • Reduce the screen brightness.
  • Set the Backlight timer from Never to 15 seconds. By tapping the screen the backlight will turn back on.
