Charging your device

If you are charging your device after using it on a long journey, please ensure the device is cool to the touch first. This is important as the MiVue battery has a self-protection mechanism which stops the battery from charging if the device is too hot. This may happen after a long journey as the combination of the LCD screen being on, the power supply being connected and the device being in constant recording mode will increase the temperature of the battery significantly.

If you have charged your device while it''s too hot, the self-protection mechanism will be activated and the battery won''t fully charge. Therefore your device may switch off after a few seconds/minutes once you''ve charged it. If this happens, please let the device cool down first and charge the battery again. Once fully charged, the battery will last up to 10-15 minutes when disconnected from a power supply.

The MiVue devices are designed to work in the temperature range of -10 to 60 °. Higher or lower temperatures than this can damage the battery and impact its life cycle. If you are using the device in extreme temperatures, you may see a decrease in the performance of the battery.



Note: when storing your device, please do so at room temperature.
Further Information: Please be aware that the MiVue 785 uses a charger with 5V/1A, instead of the regular 5V/2A chargers. We therefore advise customers to ensure that you are using the correct Mio USB-charging cables (if provided).
